The mammoth 12,000Sq.ft. / 300 seat Modern American Restaurant is embellished in the heart of the prestigious Plaza 10 office tower. While featuring multiple indoor and outdoor dining options, the entire establishment boasts unparalleled views of the Manhattan skyline across the historic Hudson River.
As a Host/Hostess at Hudson & Co, you'll play a crucial role in creating memorable experiences for our guests from the moment they walk through the door. You'll be responsible for greeting and seating guests, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service during busy shifts. Your warm demeanor and excellent communication skills will set the tone for our guests' evening and contribute to the overall success of our bar.
Responsibilities:
- Welcome guests with a warm and friendly greeting upon arrival.
- Manage the Opentable reservation system and accurately record guest information.
- Seat guests efficiently, taking into account table availability and server rotations.
- Communicate effectively with servers and bartenders to ensure a seamless dining experience.
- Assist with managing waitlists during peak times.
- Provide guests with accurate information about our menu, specials, and promotions.
- Assist with 3rd Party delivery and to-go takeout orders
- Handle guest inquiries, concerns, and special requests with professionalism and courtesy.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess or in a customer service role preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Positive attitude and a genuine passion for providing exceptional hospitality.
- Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
