Great Coast Commons is a neighborhood restaurant known for exceptional food and drink, genuine hospitality, and a warm, welcoming environment.
We are seeking an exceptional Host / Server Assistant to join our front-of-house team.
This role goes beyond greeting and bussing tables. It plays an important part in shaping each guest’s experience from the moment they walk through the door.
Hospitality, positivity, and professionalism are the foundation of this job. We are looking for someone who naturally makes guests feel welcomed, communicates clearly, and thrives in a structured, team-oriented environment.

As Host / Server Assistant, you will:
• Greet and seat guests with warmth, confidence, and awareness
• Manage reservations and waitlists accurately and efficiently
• Answer phones professionally and take carryout orders with precision
• Coordinate and assist with carryout guest pickup
• Support servers and the expediter by bussing, cleaning, resetting tables, and running food
• Help set the tone at the front door and support a smooth, thoughtful service throughout the dining room
This role requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask calmly during busy service periods.
Evening and weekend availability is required.

CompensationCompensation is competitive, and our guests are exceptionally generous.
Experienced Host / Server Assistants consistently earn approximately $25–$30 per hour including tips.
