The Role:
The primary role of the Line Cook of the restaurant will be to:
-Support and work with the Chef
-Work the Hot Line
-Ensure all prep is completed properly
-Ensure the cold and hot line stations are set up and broken down correctly
-Assist with prep when needed
-Maintain a clean kitchen and workspace
-Ensure a positive and safe working environment.
We are looking for someone who can lead by example, is passionate about hospitality, and has the ability to manage all aspects of the kitchen.
The space and character of the new restaurant will be cool, downtown, and elegant, with a sophisticated clientele serving French Cuisine that is both accessible and refined.
Primary Responsibilities and Goals:
- Work with the Chef and Sous Chef
- Work busy shifts and be sure your station is set up and broken down properly
- Know and execute all dishes as per the Chef and Sous Chef
- Ensure Dishes are presented well and consistently, and are in line with expectations
- Take responsibility for your station and the dishes you make
Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of NYC Restaurant experience or 5+ years of Restaurant experience
- Positive attitude, with the ability to work under pressure while remaining patient and polite and ability to maintain grace and composure during high-volume shifts
- Ability to multitask, and to work on the fly when the situation arises
- You must have a current NYC Food Handler certificate, or must obtain one within a month of hire
- A love or passion for food, restaurants and dining
- Some working knowledge of Spanish is not required, but would be helpful
- Flexible schedule and weekend (Saturday and Sunday) availability

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $29.00)
