Position Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen and elevate our culinary offerings. The ideal candidate is a dynamic leader with a deep understanding of Italian cuisine, strong kitchen management skills, and a dedication to quality, consistency, and creativity.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all kitchen operations, from prep to service
- Develop and execute seasonal menus rooted in traditional and modern Italian techniques
- Manage and mentor kitchen staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
- Ensure adherence to sanitation, safety, and food quality standards
- Work closely with ownership and FOH leadership to maintain high-level guest experiences
- Control food costs and manage inventory, ordering, and vendor relationships
- Participate in hiring, training, scheduling, and performance evaluations
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in a senior kitchen role, preferably in upscale or high-volume Italian restaurants
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Proficiency in pasta making, butchery, and regional Italian cuisine
- A calm, confident presence during high-volume service
- Commitment to sustainability, seasonality, and excellence
