Position Summary

The Events General Manager leads our prestigious events program during a transformative period as we evolve into Williamsburg's definitive luxury destination. This critical role shapes significant celebrations within our historic spaces, creating experiences that reflect an evolving neighborhood with Brooklyn's authentic character. As the steward of a $10M revenue stream, you'll build and mentor a high-performing team while creating the backdrop for life's most meaningful moments—from intimate gatherings to milestone celebrations that become part of our guests' personal histories.


Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership & Team Development

  • Shape our events program to align with our 2025-2030 strategy 
  • Refine our wedding program and develop corporate retreats
  • Create signature experiences that rival global hospitality icons
  • Hire, build, train and mentor an exceptional events team
  • Foster a culture of excellence, creativity and empathy
  • Create growth pathways for team members
  • Lead cross-departmental collaboration

Guest Experience

  • Create seamless experiences from planning through execution
  • Foster meaningful client relationships with our sales team
  • Understand the emotional significance of each celebration
  • Implement continuous improvement systems

Operational Excellence

  • Develop efficient systems and communication protocols
  • Optimize staffing models and resource allocation
  • Balance financial targets with quality standards
  • Partner with culinary, operations and sales teams

Qualifications

  • 5+ years events management experience in luxury hospitality
  • Proven track record in team leadership and development
  • Experience managing high-value client relationships
  • Strong financial acumen and business insight
  • Hands on approach with empathetic leadership style
  • Calm presence under pressure and creative problem-solving skills
  • Sense of humor
