Miss Ada is looking for a warm and passionate person to join our front of house team as a manager! This is a management opportunity that can be tailored to accommodate a more experienced leader or a talented and committed server looking to move into management.
What does it mean to be a manager at Miss Ada?
To be a manager at Miss Ada is to be a guiding force throughout set up, service, and the end of shift. Our management strategy is anchored on the idea of stewardship. We believe that to succeed as a manager one must first aim to support the team, and only then begin to guide and shape the restaurant. This role is deeply fulfilling, and offers a chance to teach hospitality tactics and strategy, but to also learn from our team of experienced servers and bartenders.
We look for hands on managers, with a "taking it off your plate" attitude. The kind of leader who thrives when they are filling in the gaps of service, connecting with guests, and ensuring the service team has everything they need to succeed. This is a role for a manger who not only does the fundamentals like bussing and running food, but who sees that they are actually the most important work a manager can do.
A Miss Ada manager loves hospitality, and the opportunity to go above and beyond for our guests. They recognize that the best dining experience happens when our team is feeling the magic of the restuarant and encouraged to go the extra mile for our guests. Our best managers are captivated by the energy and joy of a bustling dining room, and see how special restaurants can be for both diners and as a team members.
A successful manager will view themselves not as a boss, but as a caretaker of a restaurant that is beloved by its guests and its team. They will view their job as a chance to leave Miss Ada and its team better than they found it, each and every day.
What should I do to apply? Please read the description of the day to day position, and then share with us your resume and a cover letter outlining why you think you embody the stewardship model of leadership that we cultivate at Miss Ada.
