Jupiter, a second restaurant from the team behind King, celebrates the regional simplicity of Italian food. We pride ourselves on respecting seasonal ingredients, making delicious, hand-made pastas, and being a warm and welcoming place to work.
We are looking for an enthusiastic pastry cook to join our joyful and rigorous kitchen working on daily bread, ice cream and pastry production during our busy summer months. This is a pastry production role that is available on a seasonal basis, starting in April and ending in September. We are open to review continued employment thereafter.
What you’ll do:
- Learn about regional Italian specialties and work closely with a team of chefs on events and special pastry projects.
- Learn about Italian bread production with seasonal changes
- Practice classic pastry skills building layer cakes
- Learn to make flavor-forward ice creams and sorbet using a top-of-the line Carpigiani
- Develop in-depth knowledge of our menu and the culinary traditions that inspire us.
- Participate in ongoing training, education and tasting.

Who you are:
- You are passionate about pastry! Making it, learning about it, and eating it!
- You are a team player with clear communication and follow through
- You have attention to detail and initiative to problem solve as needed
- You are able to stand, walk, and be on your feet for extended periods of time
- You are able to communicate in English, through written and verbal communications
- You are able to lift 50+ pounds
- You are available on nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
- Proficiency in Spanish is very useful but not required.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($21.00 - $23.00)
