[About Joo Ok]
Joo Ok is a Korean fine dining restaurant founded in 2016 by Chef Chang ho Shin. Originally recognized as a two-starred restaurant in the MICHELIN Guide Seoul, Joo Ok has brought its philosophy and cuisine to New York, where it currently holds one MICHELIN star.
The name Joo Ok, which can be interpreted as “threading precious jade marbles,” symbolizes not only elegance and precision, but also Chef Shin’s desire to welcome guests into a space that feels like his own home — warm, thoughtful, and deeply personal.
