POSITION: Server
EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION: Non-Exempt
REPORTS TO: General Manager, Assistant General Manager, Bar Manager, Floor Manager
PURPOSE:
The Server takes care of the guests by providing genuine care and hospitality while upholding the quality of food, beverage, and service. The Server manages their own section and works with the team to guides guests throughout their dining experience. The Server is an expert in their field and is expected to be a leader by demonstrating strong work ethics and sets a good example to the rest of the team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITES:
- Ability to manage their section and guide all guest experiences
- Displays confidence and a strong, professional, and personal demeanor tableside
- Takes guest orders in an accurate and orderly manner
- Provides attentive and quality service
- Strong communication skills with the team. This includes the following, but not limited to: bartender, server assistant, host, expo, kitchen, manager on duty
- Upholds food and beverage knowledge by learning the ingredients, allergens, and preparation of each dish and drink. Can recite and passionately make recommendations
- Familiarity of common food allergies
- Takes initiative to create positive memorable experiences for the guests
- Sets a strong example of excellence to the floor team; takes initiative in teaching and training the Server Assistants
- Maintains the cleanliness and appearance of the service stations
- Exercise good judgement and decision making in escalating concerns and resolving issues. Escalates any concerns that need immediate attention to the manager on duty
In addition to performing the key responsibilities listed above, this position is required to perform a combination of the following:
- Be a team player and support other roles during service
- Share input and feedback to what can be improved in service to the management team
- Additional duties as necessary and assigned
- Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment
- Upholds Department of Health Standards
- Upholds uniform guidelines and a polished appearance
- Consistently reports to scheduled shifts on time
- Provides attentiveness and excellence in service. Adheres to steps of service. Follows all company policies, procedures, and guidelines
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
The physical demands for this position includes standing and working for long periods of time and moving intermittently during work hours. The employee is required to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, bend, squat, kneel, and reach above shoulder level. These physical demands described here must be met by the employee to perform the essential functions of the job.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
