Job Details
This is a small tapas bar inside a specialty Spanish market in Brooklyn.  A tiny kitchen with no gas where the majority of the limited tapas and pintxo menu are cold items so the focus would be Garde Manager but the role would also involve serving the clients.  Responsibilities include replicating salsa verde, pickled red onions, fennel salads.  Making garlic confit, pressure cooking beans, prepping kitchen for the top of the week, keeping track of ingredients.  Platting and serving of cheese platters, ham platters, and more interestingly, tinned fish platters.  We have the largest selection of tinned fish in NYC and customers can select a tin off the shelf that you would have the creativity to plate in a fun and creative ways.

Proficiency with a meat slicer is a necessity and a NYC food handlers license is a requirement for the position. 

Looking for low-key, friendly person as this is mostly an open kitchen and there will be a lot of customer interaction. We have many regulars and this is very much a neighborhood joint.

Compensation: Hourly ($19.00 - $20.00) plus tips
