JOB TITLE: HEAD BARTENDER
DESCRIPTION: The Head Bartender position at Tigre administrates the practices and policies of the Executive Bar Director (William Elliott, VP Premiere Enterprises), in keeping with best practices for the bar at large. The Head Bartender strategically factors personnel, fiscal responsibility, and a strong engagement with management to best serve the ongoing direction and needs of the bar department.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Bar inventory: to be completed weekly, max. 5 hrs)
- BTG wine/Beer inventory: to be completed weekly, max. 30min)
- Departmental Communication: Hold bi-weekly bar meetings in accordance with the provided template (Timing TBD)
- Week-In-Review: to bar team, addressing service, ingredient updates, goals, etc with the provided template (TBD)
- Operational Tasks: Maintaining inventories, monitoring the completion of checklists as well as syrup and batch production.
- Uphold Company Standards: Ensure the company's high standards are consistently upheld in every interaction between staff and guests or other staff members.
- Product Knowledge: Acquire proficient knowledge of all food, cocktails, and Serve as a role model to the staff regarding this knowledge.
- Menu Management: update & proof-read all menus in tandem with GM and William Elliott
- Document Management: appropriate sharing, maintenance, and discretionary management of all internal recipes in tandem with GM and William Elliott
- Training: Provide comprehensive training to staff, ensuring adherence to service and hospitality standards and brand representation in tandem with GM and William Elliott. This role requires continued education, training, team meetings, tastings, R&D, and admin work. Leaders must continue to learn, grow, and master their craft through time dedication.
- Service Supervision: Oversee every aspect of bar service and staff performance in tandem with GM
- Safety Protocols: Follow measures to ensure the safety of guests and staff
- DOH Certification: Obtain the NYC DOH Food Handler’s Certificate within 1 month of start
- Confidentiality Clause:All cocktail recipes, specs, R&D, garnishes, syrups, food, and non alcoholic beverages created, served, sourced or made at ‘TIGRE’ are the property of ‘TIGRE’ and cannot for any reason be deleted, copied, shared, transferred, used, or removed from the premises located at 105 Rivington street, New York, N.Y 10002.
- Professional Conduct-Tigre is a world-class, top tier luxury bar, with standards to match it. It’s imperative that the lead bartender not only behave as such, they shall also instill the highest standards possible to the bar staff around them. Leading by example, holding those who fail to uphold our standards accountable. The lead bartender is a leader, they are to project our vision through their hospitality practices, proficiency in drink making, expansive knowledge of products, management, and operations. Communication is a vital part of this recipe, so we will require a clear line of communication in regards to challenges, short comings, disciplinary actions, inventory, prep, scheduling, ordering, planning, and training, team meetings, and problem solving.
COMPENSATION:
- Admin Rate: $25/hour (Total Admin Hours will not be less than 8 hours and no more than 10 hours weekly.)
- Bartending: $13/hour
TENURE:
Due to the demanding nature of the role and the high level of responsibility instilled, we request that the Head Bartender provides at least 1 year of conscientious and honorable service to our company.
