Summary:
We are currently looking for a General Manager of Easy Company, which was recently named a finalist for Wine Program of the Year by the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington (RAMW).
As General Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring day-to-day operations of the venue run smoothly and sales targets are achieved. You will oversee a Front of House (FOH) team of 20-30 bartenders, servers, barbacks, and hosts while running 5 floor shifts per week. You will be reporting to the Director of Operations of BHG. We're seeking someone with hospitality management experience who is energetic, firm but approachable, and wants to be part of a quickly expanding team.
What You'll Be Doing:
- Ensure shifts run smoothly with all FOH Team Members effectively performing their duties before, during, and after shifts
- Coordinate with our Back of House (BOH) Team Members as needed to minimize ticket times and ensure great quality food
- Facilitate excellent customer service and resolve Guest issues as they arise
- Lead and develop individual FOH Team Members, coaching and utilizing corrective action when necessary
- Adhere to all ABRA and Department of Health regulations
- Oversee the cleanliness of venue facilities and coordinate servicing for any maintenance issues
- Perform administrative and operational duties (e.g., invoicing, hiring) as determined by our Director of Operations
- Adjust the POS as needed
- Ensure all company policies are upheld and report concerns to our HR Manager
What We're Looking For:
- 3+ years of experience managing a bar/restaurant preferred
- Demonstrated leadership and problem-solving ability
- Refined interpersonal skills for interacting with our Team Members and Guests
- Ability to stay cool and focused under pressure
- Confidence in delivering performance feedback to our Team Members when needed
- Strong knowledge of food, beverage, inventory, and food safety
- Experience with Toast Point-of-Sale (POS) a plus
Compensation & Benefits:
- $90,000-$100,000 Base Salary
