The Opportunity
Bussers are responsible for all aspects of table management to help ensure our guests have an exceptional dining experience, as well as working seamlessly with the Server team, all while upholding Temperance Wine Bar’s vision, mission & culture.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Ensure all guests have everything they need to have an enjoyable and memorable experience
- Continually support servers by replenishing silver, china, condiments, and clearing bus stations
- Polish, re-stock, and maintain glassware levels throughout the restaurant
- Ensure all guests have everything they need to have an enjoyable and memorable experience
- Frequently provide water to all guests
- Maintain and update knowledge of Temperance Wine Bar’s food and beverage menus
- Complete opening and closing side-work
- Maintain sanitation to DOH standards
- Engage in on-going educational opportunities
- Be a team player – support and assist your fellow team members whenever possible
The Ideal Candidate
Is a team player that leads by example, is proactive, innovative, and has an entrepreneurial spirit.
Requirements:
- 1+ years of Front of House (busser / back waiter) experience in a restaurant or wine bar
- NYC Food Handlers Certificate preferred
- Fluent in both written and spoken English
- Ability to stand for extended periods of time
- Ability to reach, bend, stoop and frequently lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to work nights, weekends and holidays, and variable schedule per the needs of the business
- Bachelor’s Degree, Certification in Hospitality, or relevant experience gained from time on the job
