Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Chef to join the team at our new upscale casual restaurant in the vibrant East Village of Manhattan. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional with a passion for running a kitchen and a proven track record of success. Key Requirements and Responsibilities:
- Previous experience working as a Chef is essential.
- Prior experience specifically in traditional Mexican cuisine is a must.
- Demonstrated ability to manage food and labor costs effectively to maintain low operational expenses.
- Previous experience in catering and creating diverse catering menus.
- Proven ability to develop and document recipes to ensure consistency in dish preparation.
- Must possess a valid food handler's certificate.
- Thorough knowledge of all relevant sanitation rules and regulations, with the ability to consistently achieve an "A" rating.
- This position is not suitable for amateur cooks.
- Must be able to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Must be a strong team player with excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- All payroll will be conducted on the books; no cash payments will be made.
- The schedule requires working 6 days per week.
- Salary will be discussed during our interview.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Weekly ($1,100.00)
