Smail independent and ambitious restaurant is seeking a General Manager to lead the restaurant into the future. :) Seeking a charismatic and hospitality driven leader, and ideally someone who is knowledgeable about wine. Someone with an entrepreneurial attitude and drive, who has the passion for people, food, beverages, and wants to create a special place for our staff to work and for our guests to experience. A proactive and creative problem solver, and someone with excellent communications skills.
Some Responsibilities will include:
* Scheduling and maintaining appropriate staffing levels (adjusting as necessary) on a per-day and per-shift basis, handling call-outs and vacation requests, and arranging coverage for last-minute shifts.
* Leading and updating new staff orientations, including onboarding, dress code guidelines, required training scenarios, and administration of menu + service testing.
* Establishing and maintaining training programs specific to various FOH roles.
* Taking all reasonable and necessary measures to ensure that we obtain (or maintain) a letter grade of “A” from the DOH.
* Supporting the actions and decisions of the Chef and ownership to ensure a cohesive leadership team.
* Implementing disciplinary action when necessary, with fellow leadership team members serving as witnesses.
* Meeting regularly with the Executive Chef to ensure FOH staff knows and is trained on any menu additions or specials.
* Developing and maintaining a positive working relationship with the BOH team.
* Developing and updating processes for opening and closing, ensuring that standards are being met.
* Leading by example and being proactive in finding solutions during service.
* Making sound decisions, seeking help when appropriate, and communicating consistently with owners and Chef.
**Qualifications**
* At least 3 years of AGM and/or GM experience, sommelier experience is welcomed!
* Positive attitude and willingness to learn
* Experience with POS systems (Toast), RESY OS, and scheduling software (7Shifts), Perfect Venue would be great.
*Financial Acumen

Compensation: Salary ($95,000.00 - $105,000.00)
