Gem Home, Flynn McGarry's Nolita cafe & store, is hiring a Junior Sous Chef!
The Junior Sous Chef will be responsible for executing service and prep alongside the kitchen manager and owner. This position will be responsible for the following:
- Showing up to work on time with specified uniform
- Keeping order lists up to date
- Keeping prep lists up to date
- Assisting with prep tasks
- Setting up station for service
- Keeping track of prep / inventory logs
- Following direction of Chef / supervisor
- Working an efficient service
- Keeping station clean and orderly throughout service
- Cleaning station and breaking down according to break down list
- Placing orders with purveyors as needed
- Availability to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed
- Ability to stand for 8 hours and lift 30+ lbs
- NYC Food Handlers License
Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($65,000.00) plus tips
