Catering & Café Manager
Role Overview
The Catering & Café Manager is responsible for both business development and daily operations of the café and catering services. This role combines sales, administration, and hands-on leadership, ensuring smooth service, exceptional customer experiences, and strong financial performance. The manager will oversee the Catering Administrator and Lead Baristas, while also managing studio catering, café operations, and vendor relationships.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development (Admin & Growth Focus)
· Drive catering sales through proactive client outreach and relationship management
· Serve as the primary point of contact for catering inquiries, event planning, and client communication.
· Collaborate with clients to finalize catering details, menus, and logistics, ensuring a seamless execution.
· Oversee catering bookings, invoices, contracts, and financial reporting with accuracy.
· Conduct market research and monitor industry trends to enhance competitiveness and profitability.
· Update POS systems and pricing, ensuring menu adjustments align with business objectives.
Operations & Staff Leadership (Hands-On Role)
· Lead and manage the Catering Administrator and Lead Baristas, ensuring efficiency and service excellence.
· Oversee daily café and catering operations, providing hands-on support as needed.
· Recruit, train, and manage staff to create a positive and productive team environment.
· Supervise weekly scheduling, payroll processing, and tip distribution for café and catering teams.
· Maintain vendor relationships and inventory, ensuring supplies and equipment are well-managed.
· Oversee cash handling and POS management, ensuring financial accuracy and resolving discrepancies.
· Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and company policies to maintain high standards.
Financial & Administrative Oversight
· Review, approve, and submit monthly financial reports, including petty cash reconciliation and expense tracking.
· Manage budgeting and cost control to optimize profitability.
· Work closely with the Executive Chef and management team to align business operations with revenue goals.
What We’re Looking For
· Strong background in catering sales, event planning, or hospitality administration.
· Proven leadership experience in managing catering, restaurant, or café operations.
· Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a talent for relationship-building.
· Proficiency in QuickBooks, Google Sheets, Excel, and Outlook.
· Experience in budget management, cost control, and financial tracking.
· Ability to work independently and proactively grow business opportunities.
· Hands-on experience in service execution, staff management, and operations.
· Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and peak service hours as needed.
· Familiarity with food safety and sanitation regulations.
