Job Overview:
The Line Cook will be responsible for preparing meals according to our restaurant’s recipes and standards, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with a keen interest in learning new culinary techniques and flavors.
General Duties & Responsibilities
· Present bills to guests and process payments accurately.
· Return change or process credit card transactions.
· Clear empty dishes and glasses from tables.
· Reset tables for new guests.
· Assist in coordinating special events, celebrations, or parties.
· Provide personalized service for special occasions when required.
· Stay informed about menu changes, daily specials, and promotions.
· Answer questions about ingredients, preparation methods, and allergens.
· Address customer complaints or issues with professionalism and a problem-solving mindset.
· Collaborate with management to resolve escalated matters.
· Work closely with kitchen staff, bartenders, bussers, and other servers to ensure smooth operations.
· Communicate effectively with colleagues to coordinate service.
· Keep the server station and work areas clean and organized.
· Assist with overall restaurant cleanliness, including clearing debris and spills.
· Follow health and safety guidelines, including proper hygiene practices.
· Report any safety hazards or issues to the manager.
· Operate point-of-sale (POS) systems accurately for order entry and payment processing.
· Stay informed about the restaurant's offerings and be able to make recommendations based on customer preferences.
Qualifications
o Ability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift up to 50 lbs.
o Proficiency in both written and spoken English.
o Demonstrated excellence in hospitality for both internal and external guests.
o Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
o Proficiency in various technology systems, particularly reservations software.
o The ability to effectively handle a variety of changing situations under stress and adapt to evolving circumstances.
o Passion for exceptional hospitality, food, and beverages.
o Self-driven and results-oriented, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
o Flexibility to work varied schedules, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
o High school diploma or GED preferred.
