Lauded NoHo mainstay, il Buco, is currently looking for a dynamic and knowledgeble server to join our team!
Our food and beverage programs are rustic and inspired creating a unique, high end experience, in a cozy environment. Guests should always feel like we're inviting them into our living room.
Our food and beverage programs are rustic and inspired creating a unique, high end experience, in a cozy environment. Guests should always feel like we're inviting them into our living room.
As a server, you will play an integral role in that experience and the flow of service. You are the conductor of the guest experience so you should have a genuine appreciation for hospitality and the ability to communicate effectively about our menus. You should have a sound understanding of food, wine and cocktails and a love of sharing your knowledge with our guests. We do almost daily verbal quizes on the menus to help you stay sharp (not to intimidate!) and a revolving wine BTG list so you will never get bored with the work we do!

- Maintain an understanding of the proper steps of service required of all FOH positions
- Maintain mental athleticism for coordination with table pacing, and section maintenance in conjunction with support personnel
- Strong communication and listening skills to effectively deliver accurate messaging to both guests and teammates
- Have a desire to build a base knowledge and understanding of classic cookery, wine, beer, and cocktails
- Menu and beverage knowledge is comprehensive and kept current as menus evolve
- Have a general knowledge and understanding of Department of Health (DOH) food safety standards
- Derives pleasure from providing hospitality
- Excellent Emotional Self Awareness under pressure while maintaining a graceful, warm presence
- Curious Intelligence to continue learning in the position
- 2 years experience in a high-volume, fine-dining restaurant
- Available to work weekends and holidays
- Excellent communication and problem solving skills
- Able to maintain a professional, yet welcoming and friendly demeanor at all times

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($11.00) plus tips
