Vera Cocina, a vibrant Lebanese-Mexican restaurant in Washington, D.C., is looking for a warm, professional, and service-driven Host/Hostess to join our team.

As the first point of contact for our guests, our hosts play a key role in setting the tone for the Vera experience. We are seeking individuals who are personable, detail-oriented, and passionate about hospitality. The right candidate will take pride in welcoming guests, managing reservations, and ensuring seamless flow throughout service.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet and seat guests with genuine hospitality and warmth.

• Manage reservations and guest profiles using our reservation system (Tock).

• Maintain the flow of the dining room by coordinating with management and the service team.

• Communicate effectively with guests, anticipate their needs, and ensure a memorable experience.

• Assist with coat check, managing waitlists, and organizing walk-ins.

• Help create a positive, team-oriented environment.

Ideal Candidate:

• Prior host/hostess or customer service experience preferred.

• Strong communication and organizational skills.

• Professional appearance and demeanor.

• Ability to multitask and stay calm under pressure.

• A genuine love for people, food, and creating exceptional guest experiences.
