The Happy Tuna brand is the exciting and dynamic addition to the Momoya hospitality group which has established its presence throughout New York City since the early 2000s. Happy Tuna houses a unique combination of Japanese sushi and patisserie operations within our new Hudson Yards commisary location.
We are currently searching for talented and committed individuals to join our PASTRY PRODUCTION DEPARTMENT. This position is intended for someone who has a decent amount of experience and great chance to show leadership skills in possible pastry managerial positions.
Position requirements and responsibilities
-3 years in a mid-high volume bakery, patisserie or restaurant establishment
-basic knowledge of French/Japanese bread and pastry production including but not limited to yeasted and laminated doughs, viennoiserie, cakes, mousses, chocolate, et al.
-ability to take instructions and directives of Executive Pastry Chef and follow recipes accurately
-ability to communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure the completion of the daily agenda
-open availability is a must
