Lead Runner

Major Food Group is hiring a Lead Runner to join our team at Contessa Miami!

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Delivers food from kitchen and delivers to guests in an accurate and timely manner

• Exhibit full knowledge of the menu and describe every dish and beverage clearly, noting all relevant allergy concerns and dietary restrictions for guests  

• Multitask between running food, bussing tables, assisting the chef polish and stock plates, supporting beverage (wine, liquor, coffee/tea) service, maintaining water levels, assisting guests, making coffee drinks, preparing bread baskets, checking guest restrooms, and all other duties that may be needed to enhance the guest experience calmly and seamlessly 

• Set tables appropriately to ensure guests have everything needed at each stage of service

• Ensure expo and service station areas are organized and maintained

• Maintains cleanliness of tables between courses and resets tables upon completion of meal

• Assists front-of-house team with other duties as required or assigned

REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum 2 years working in a high volume, upscale restaurant preferred

• Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills

• Must be able to stand/walk for 8 hours; bend, push, pull; lift 30 lbs.
