The Butcher’s Daughter is a busy, fast paced and vibrant vegetarian restaurant with three locations in New York City. We are home to locals, and a destination to travelers – and strive to create an environment & lifestyle that is welcoming to all. We are looking for the right person to join our team and work this very important position.
Here’s what you’ll do (*but not limited to):
- Welcome and greet guests upon arrival
- Make all our guests feel comfortable and let them know you’re there to personally take care of them
- Get to know regular guests by name; know their preferences and needs
- Manage waitlists and reservations correctly and efficiently by using Resy reservation system. When on a wait, record guest’s name and number of people in party, provide guests with an estimated waiting time, and seat them as soon as possible when a table becomes available
- Seat guests based on needs to the restaurant, while keeping in mind preferences and needs of guests.
- Understand our Covid-19 protocols for guests and ensure that these protocols are being followed.
- Be able to answer questions correctly regarding the restaurant, the area, and the menu.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return
The right candidate is:
Someone who loves creating a welcoming atmosphere and giving great service, you have experience working with customers or restaurant guests. Someone who is calm, collected, and works well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment. Someone who loves people, and truly enjoys the art of service. Someone who is a great communicator and speaks clearly and confidently. In our busy environment it is important that you are able to stand for periods of time, and if needed can lift up to 25 pounds.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($10.00 - $12.00) plus tips
