Celestine is looking for dynamic hosts!
Celestine is an Mediterranean influenced restaurant located in DUMBO just under the Manhattan Bridge. We are seeking a dynamic, personable, and experienced individual to add to our host team. As our host, you are our first interaction with guests therefore it is crucial guests feel welcome as they enter the restaurant. We are looking for an individual with leadership skills that is capable of managing themselves at the door. Our hosts possess high energy, are able to maximize covers with our reservations systems, and communicate their needs to FOH managers and servers.
As a host your job responsibilities will include
-Greeting guests in a hospitable manner as they enter the front door
-Ensuring guests are properly sat at table with correct menus
-Awareness of open and sat tables
-Alerting managers on tables that are over their time estimates and making managers aware of potential problems for late sat tables
-Creating and maintaining the waitlist and calling guests for available tables
-Maximizing covers with reservations and walk ins
-Acknowledging guests and saying good evening as they leave, inquiring about their dining experience
-Maintaining clean menus, ensuring correct menus are on the floor
We are seeking the right individual for part to full time availability, New York City 2+ years experience required.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($20.00 - $24.00) plus tips
