Job Details
We are seeking a competent Event Sales Manager to oversee and organize events develop and grow event sales at The Group Hospitality restaurants located in Washington, D.C. and strive to maximize event revenue while creating extraordinary client and guest experience. Enthusiastic candidates with a marketing mindset with the detailed and organizational skills to not leave anything about an event to chance will be successful in this role!
This role is paid at base salary + 3% commission based off of events.
Responsibilities
- Identify and cultivate potential clients for events
- Develop and execute sales strategies to achieve revenue targets
- Manage the complete sales cycle from initial inquiry to event execution
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and objectives
- Coordinate and produce Banquet Event Orders (BEOs) and other event-related documents to location management team prior to event start
- Review and confirm with appropriate teams on all aspects before the day of the event
- Oversee event execution from start to finish, ensuring guest satisfaction
- Analyze the event’s success and prepare reports to the General Managers and Chefs
Skills
- Proven experience as an event sales manager in restaurants
- Experience with Tripleseat, Toast, and OpenTable
- Knowledge of KPIs and marketing techniques for event management
- Computer savvy; proficient in MS Office
- Outstanding communication and negotiation ability
- Excellent organizational skills
- A knack for problem-solving
- Customer-service orientation
- A team player with leadership skills
- Available to work nights and weekends per business needs
- BSc/BA in PR, marketing, hospitality management, or related field is preferred
