Job Summary: Host | Upscale Cocktail Bar – River North, Chicago

We are seeking a poised, personable, and professional host to join our dynamic team at our high-end cocktail bar located in the heart of River North. As the first and last impression of the guest experience, you will play a pivotal role in setting the tone for exceptional hospitality. The ideal candidate is polished, organized, and thrives in a fast-paced, elevated environment.

You will warmly greet guests, manage reservations and seating charts with finesse, and work closely with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service. A strong sense of hospitality, attention to detail, and a calm, confident presence are essential.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet guests with a welcoming and professional demeanor

• Manage reservations and walk-ins using a digital seating system

• Coordinate with servers and management to optimize guest flow

• Maintain an organized host stand and lobby area

• Ensure wait times and guest expectations are communicated clearly

• Provide knowledgeable insight about the venue, menu, and events

Qualifications:

• Previous hosting or hospitality experience in an upscale or high-volume setting preferred

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
