Job Title: Restaurant Manager – FOH with Sommelier Experience
Location: New York City
Employment Type: Full-Time
We are looking for several FOH hospitality professionals who ensure daily operational excellence and overall guest satisfaction. Responsibilities include:
Restaurant Operations & Team Leadership

Manage and oversee day-to-day floor operations during service, ensuring smooth execution and guest satisfaction.

Provide in-the-moment leadership and support to FOH staff during service (assign sections, monitor side work, uphold service standards, and maintain cleanliness).

Lead pre-shift meetings and contribute to monthly staff training and development sessions.

Create and manage staff schedules efficiently to align with labor budgets and business needs.

Support hiring, onboarding, and performance evaluations for FOH staff.

Foster a culture of hospitality, teamwork, and accountability across all service teams.
Guest Experience

Resolve guest concerns with professionalism, warmth, and urgency to ensure a positive dining experience.

Maintain a consistent presence on the floor to interact with guests and monitor service flow.

Anticipate guest needs and exceed expectations through attention to detail and personalized service.
Wine & Beverage Expertise

Leverage your sommelier knowledge to enhance the guest experience through wine education, pairing recommendations, and staff training.

Collaborate with the beverage team to contribute to wine list development and inventory management.

Conduct regular wine tastings and educational sessions for FOH team members.

Assist in executing wine dinners, private tastings, and other special beverage-forward events.
Additional Responsibilities

Maintain a high level of professionalism and communication across departments.

Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations.

Handle administrative tasks and reporting as needed.

Be flexible and available to work nights, weekends, holidays, and varied shifts.
