Ernesto’s is seeking experienced and dedicated Support Staff to join our front-of-house team.
Located on the Lower East Side, Ernesto’s pays homage to the Basque region of Spain. Our ever-evolving menu offers a seasonal exploration of the region’s cuisine, complemented by a beverage program featuring natural and low-intervention Spanish wines, ciders, vermouths, specialty cocktails, and beers.
This role is essential to the guest experience and ideal for someone passionate about hospitality, detail-oriented, and eager to work as part of a high-performing team.
Requirements:

Previous NYC restaurant experience in a support, runner, or busser position

Strong communication skills and a team-first attitude

Ability to remain organized and efficient in a fast-paced environment
Responsibilities:

Support servers in delivering warm, attentive, and professional hospitality to every guest

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dining room throughout service
-
Assist with resetting tables promptly and properly between guests
-
Run food and beverage to tables efficiently and knowledgeably
-
Ensure all guests are marked properly for each course

Restock service stations, polish glassware, and maintain overall service readiness

Stay informed about current menu offerings and ingredients, especially regarding allergens

Notify servers or management of any guest needs or special requests

Uphold all DOH sanitation standards and follow all safety procedures

Assist with opening and closing duties as assigned
