Atoboy, established in 2016, has become a standout in New York City’s New Korean cuisine movement with its approachable banchan-inspired tasting menu. Position Overview: 

We are looking for passionate and enthusiastic a Lead Line Cook with a strong work ethic and an endless curiosity to learn and grow with our restaurant. 

This position reports to the Head Chef and the Sous Chef. 

Qualified Lead Line Cooks should excel in a team environment, bring a strong sense of urgency, and take pride in preparing thoughtfully crafted dishes. As a Lead Line Cook, you will play a key role in fostering a collaborative atmosphere where the entire team can grow, learn, and succeed together.

Desired Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience as a Line Cook in a busy, well-rated restaurant, with at least 1 year in a leadership or senior line cook role.
  • Ability to lead and support other line cooks during service, ensuring smooth and efficient operations.
  • Agility to multitask, manage multiple stations, and complete prep lists in an organized and timely manner.
  • Strong knife handling skills and deep understanding of cooking techniques.
  • Ability to mentor and train junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and collaboration.
  • Full availability is required, including weekends and holidays.
  • Knowledge and/or experience with Korean cuisine is a plus but not required.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with the Chef and Sous Chef to maintain quality and consistency.


Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift up to 25lbs if necessary
  • Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
  • Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
