Shiraz Kitchen & Wine Bar in White Plains is hiring a Full-Time Assistant General Manager to help lead with integrity, warmth, and efficiency. We’re looking for someone who’s not just great with systems — but passionate about people, service, and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Hiring & Training:

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and ongoing staff development

  • Lead training on service, menu, and hospitality standards

• Food Safety Oversight:

  • Maintain compliance with health department regulations

  • Ensure all staff have valid Food Handler Certificates and renewals are tracked

  • Assist with prep and storage procedures to meet safety standards

• Cost Control & Ordering:

  • Assist chef with weekly food ordering

  • Monitor inventory and reduce waste

• Cleanliness & Organization:

  • Ensure FOH and BOH are clean, organized, and guest-ready

• Sales & Guest Experience:

  • Oversee dine-in, takeout, and delivery service

  • Drive upselling and positive guest interactions

• Inventory & Scheduling:

  • Conduct weekly food and liquor counts

  • Build smart staff schedules to maintain lean payroll

• Admin & Bookkeeping:

  • Enter bills and sales into QuickBooks

  • Assist with reporting and payroll prep

Requirements:

• Proven experience in restaurant management or leadership

• Strong organizational and communication skills

• Knowledge of food safety standards; Food Handler Certificate is a plus

• Familiarity with QuickBooks and POS systems

• Hospitality-first mindset with a can-do attitude
