Responsibilities:

• Greet and escort customers to their tables.
• Present the menu, emphasizing our unique BBQ and grilled dishes, and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions, ingredients, or potential food allergies).
• Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses.
• Inform customers about the day’s specials, focusing on grilled options.
• Offer menu recommendations with an emphasis on our BBQ specialties.
• Take accurate food and drink orders, with a deep understanding of the grilling process to address any specific customer queries.
• Serve food and drink orders, ensuring that BBQ dishes are presented with the correct accompaniments and final touches.
• Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation, with special attention to the equipment used for BBQ and grilling.
• Deliver checks and collect bill payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized dining and BBQ/grilling area.
• Follow all relevant health department regulations, including those specific to handling and preparing grilled foods.

Requirements:

• Proven work experience as a Server, Waitstaff member, or similar role, with specific experience in BBQ or grilling environments highly desirable.
• Knowledge of best practices for grilling and enthusiasm for BBQ cuisine.
• Strong organizational and multitasking skills, capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Active listening and effective communication skills, with an ability to educate guests about complex dishes.
• Team spirit and a positive attitude.
• Flexibility to work in shifts, including weekends and evenings.
• High school diploma; food safety training and additional certification in culinary arts or similar field a plus.
