ama is an upcoming fine-dining restaurant from Chef Brad Kilgore and Kilgore Hospitality Group, located at the foot of the Transamerica Pyramid in San Francisco. The concept blends the bold flavors of Italian cuisine with the finesse and depth of Japanese ingredients and technique.

The cocktail experience at ama is central to the guest journey. It’s elegant, expressive, and thoughtfully paired with the menu and atmosphere—making the bar team essential to our overall success.

Job Overview:
We are seeking talented and service-driven Bartenders to join our opening team. As a bartender at ama, you will play a key role in delivering refined cocktail experiences while bringing energy, precision, and hospitality to every guest interaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute all cocktails, wine, sake, and beverage service to the highest standards

• Maintain a clean and organized bar at all times, in line with DOH and internal procedures

• Ensure accurate batching, garnishing, and recipe adherence for all cocktails

• Engage guests with warmth, product knowledge, and enthusiasm

• Work closely with the Lead Bartender to maintain quality, prep, and consistency across shifts

• Support floor service and contribute to the restaurant’s culture of excellence and teamwork

Qualifications:

• 2+ years of bartending experience in a high-end or craft cocktail setting

• Solid knowledge of classic and contemporary cocktail techniques

• Experience with Japanese ingredients, sake, or amari is a strong plus

• Ability to multitask and stay composed during high-volume service

• Passion for hospitality, presentation, and creating memorable experiences

• Positive, collaborative attitude and strong communication skills
