The hotel features a refreshed restaurant and an all-new culinary concept, inviting guests to enjoy vibrant, locally inspired cuisine in a newly renovated setting. It’s an exciting opportunity to join the opening team and help shape a new chapter at a classic East End destination.
ABOUT THE ROLE
We are looking for a Service/Bar Manager to join the team! As the Service/Bar Manager, you will oversee and manage the daily operations of a restaurant/lounge. You will ensure the restaurant’s success by hiring qualified staff, monitoring customer satisfaction, and making sure that all products and beverages are ordered in the correct quantities. The manager plays a key role in the success of the restaurant/lounge and provides leadership.
Housing is offered to support a smooth transition to the role.
Essential Duties:
- Lead the front-of-house, including managing, scheduling work shifts, and ensuring guest satisfaction and assisting in the smooth operation of the Restaurant/Lounge.
- Scheduling shifts, and providing training and coaching opportunities for staff.
- Must be able to withstand prolonged periods of standing and/or walking.
- Ability to sit at a desk and work on a computer for prolonged periods of time.
- Must be able to lift 30 pounds at times.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and late hours when necessary.
- Open and close the restaurant according to standard operating procedures
Specific Requirements of the Role:
- Oversee food preparation, ensuring compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Manage inventory and purchases food and supplies.
- Conduct daily inspection of restaurant and equipment to ensure compliance with health, safety, food handling, and hygiene standards.
- Maintain sales records and prepare operations reports.
- Hire and train staff members.
- Organize employee schedules.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Previous restaurant experience required; hotel food and beverage preferred.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong leadership and communication skills; able to delegate tasks and communicate respectfully and effectively.
- Familiarity with food handling, safety, and other restaurant guidelines.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Compensation Details
Compensation: Salary ($75,000.00 - $85,000.00)
