Job description
As the Assistant Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the kitchen, including cooking, food preparation, logistics, and day-to-day operations. Your duties will also include managing inventory, ordering supplies to keep the kitchen fully stocked, scheduling shifts, and ensuring compliance with company, safety and cleanliness standards.

Job Responsibilities:
- Order materials, supplies, and ingredients based on demand.
- Supervise kitchen employees and organize food orders.
- Oversee the food preparation and fulfillment process.
- Recruit and train kitchen employees in designated roles.
- Check food presentation and temperature.
- Monitor inventory levels and perform monthly inventory assessments.
- Work with the corporate chef to price and update the menu.
- Schedule work shifts for employees.
- Store all food products in compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Ensure the kitchen is clean and organized.
- Maintain weekly and monthly cost reports.
- Uphold sanitation and safety standards at all times.
- Manage budget and financial expectations.
- Managing payroll budget by creating team member schedules that meet labor goals.
- Managing Food, Beverage and Controllable expenses.
- Minimum 10-hour workdays.
- Support Delivery Staff in completing fulfillment logistics.
Job Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role.
- Proven work experience as a Kitchen Manager, F&B Manager or Head Chef.
- Hands-on experience with ordering restaurant/kitchen inventory.
- Ability to read and execute recipes.
- Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.
- Ability to manage a team in a fast-paced work environment.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Leads by example and is available to offer support to all staff members.
- Creates a friendly yet effective work environment for all.
- Flexibility to work during evenings and weekends. Ability to cover shifts as needed.
- Certification from a culinary school or degree in Restaurant Management preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of kitchen health and safety regulations.
- Current Manager SERV Safe Certification.
