We are seeking experienced and professional Assistant General Manager who are willing to relocate to Dallas, TX to join our team at DOMODOMO ko, fine dining Japanese restaurant.

Job Summary
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Assistant General Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a deep appreciation for wine and food pairings, along with the ability to enhance our guests' dining experience through expert recommendations and exceptional service. As a Sommelier, you will play a crucial role in menu planning and collaboration with our culinary team to ensure that our offerings are perfectly complemented by the right selections of wine.

Responsibilities

  • Curate and maintain an extensive wine list that reflects the restaurant's concept and enhances the dining experience.
  • Provide expert advice on wine selections to guests, including pairing recommendations with menu items.
  • Conduct tastings and training sessions for staff to enhance their knowledge of wines and improve service.
  • Collaborate with the culinary team on menu planning to ensure harmonious food and wine pairings.
  • Monitor inventory levels of wines and assist in ordering supplies as needed.
  • Uphold food safety standards and ensure proper handling of all food and beverage items.
  • Engage with guests to create memorable experiences through personalized service and upselling techniques.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of wines, including regions, varietals, and tasting notes.
  • Experience in the food industry, particularly in restaurant settings.
  • Excellent communication skills with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.
