Job Overview:
NA:EUN is seeking an experienced and dedicated Head Chef to join our team. In this role, you will collaborate closely with the owners, directors, and the entire restaurant team to ensure the seamless operation of our restaurant, fostering a positive work environment and maintaining the high standards that define our dining experience.

Head Chef responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
This role reports directly to Chef Junghyun Park and is responsible for the daily operations and success of the restaurant's Culinary Program.
Management
- Lead and support the kitchen team before, during, and after service. Ensure readiness, focus, and continuous improvement.
- Cultivate a professional, efficient work environment.
- Monitor staffing and labor costs.
- Provide clear direction, prioritize tasks, and ensure timely completion of daily responsibilities.
- Oversee food quality, consistency, and station readiness.
- Be actively involved in service and act as liaison between BOH and FOH.
- Participate in opening/closing duties, inventory checks, and cleanliness.
- Ensure DOH compliance and prepare training materials and mock inspections.
- Manage scheduling and PTO approvals; communicate time-off updates to HR.
- Share menu changes with FOH efficiently.
- Support financial goals, identify improvement areas, and administer discipline when needed.
Training & Education
- Coach and mentor team members; create a culture of ongoing learning.
- Conduct regular one-on-one evaluations and check-ins.
- Lead training during staff meetings and pre-shifts.
- Develop and implement BOH training materials.
Admin
- Assist with menu updates, allergy info, and team communication.
- Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance reviews.
- Maintain and improve kitchen systems and procedures.
- Oversee ordering, inventory, and quality control.
- Manage repairs and maintenance promptly.
- Lead recruitment efforts and keep Culinary Agents postings updated.
- Cost menu items and update inventory sheets with Sous Chefs.
Menu Curation
- Collaborate with Sous Chefs and Chef Park on menu development.
- Refine offerings to optimize prep and service efficiency.
General
- Ensure compliance with NYC/State labor laws with HR support.
- Hold or obtain a valid NYC Food Protection Certificate within 30 days of onboarding.
- Complete additional projects assigned by Chef Park.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 35lbs if necessary
- Safely and effectively use all necessary tools and equipment
- Stand and walk for an entire shift, including moving safely through all areas of the restaurant
