This position is for a new, high-end coffee bar called 7 Spring, opening at the end of this month in Nolita. 

7 Spring is a specialty coffee bar built around precision, craft, and hospitality. We’re looking for a full-time barista who is passionate about quality coffee and excited to help shape a new, elevated café experience from the ground up. If you’re service-minded, detail-oriented, and serious about coffee, we’d love to connect.

Key Responsibilities

• Craft Exceptional Coffee: Prepare espresso, filter, and specialty drinks with consistency, balance, and attention to detail.

• Deliver Thoughtful Service: Provide a guest experience that feels both personal and professional.

• Maintain Flow & Precision: Stay composed and focused during rushes while prioritizing drink quality and efficiency.

• Support Cleanliness & Maintenance: Keep the bar spotless and organized. Help care for all equipment.

• Collaborate with the Team: Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.

• Engage in Product Knowledge: Learn about our rotating coffee offerings, brew methods, and sourcing philosophy.

• Adapt and Grow: Be open to evolving responsibilities, including leadership opportunities.

Position Details

• Full-time position (32–40 hours per week)

• Starting pay: $17/hour

• Guaranteed increase to $19/hour after a trial period if performance expectations are met

• Growth potential to Head Barista for the right candidate

What We’re Looking For

• Minimum 3 years experience in specialty coffee or upscale service environments

• Strong technical skill with espresso, milk steaming and Latte Art

• A calm, focused presence during service

• Genuine hospitality and communication skills

• A collaborative, team-first mindset

• High standards for cleanliness, presentation, and consistency

• Curiosity and enthusiasm for learning more about coffee
