Krupa Grocery, the beloved neighborhood bistro in Windsor Terrace, is looking for a Chef de Cuisine to lead our kitchen into its next chapter.
After a fruitful tenure, our chef Joseph is relocating out of state. We’re looking for someone special to carry the torch—someone who will honor what’s been built while bringing new energy, creativity, and leadership to the team.
This is the perfect opportunity for an Executive Sous Chef ready to move up and run their own kitchen, or for a seasoned Chef de Cuisine looking for a supportive, community-minded restaurant that values work-life balance. About Krupa
Founded in 2014, Krupa Grocery has become a staple in the Brooklyn dining scene—an 11-year-old American bistro rooted in hospitality, neighborhood, and craft. Our food draws inspiration from both New American and Italian cuisines, with a focus on housemade pasta, charcuterie, and beautiful, simple plates that reflect the seasons.
The right candidate will have experience in making housemade pasta, charcuterie and have a love for all things New American & Italian. We are looking for someone who shares an appreciation for beautiful, simple dishes, enjoys cooking and has the ability to lead by example.
You’ll work closely with owner Tom Sperduto crafting menus that excite our loyal guests while building systems and culture that empower our team. Together, we’ll continue making Krupa an essential part of Windsor Terrace.
This Position has a competitive salary, bonus structure & paid time off!
Qualified candidate will:
- Have a minimum of 3 years of culinary management experience
- Be committed to serving seasonal food, enjoy teaching staff (both BOH and FOH) about dishes and ingredients and have great communication skills.
- Have a strong financial sense, with the proven ability to control costs, manage labor, and produce profit all while having fun
- Ensure that proper systems are in place to ensure back of house operations are kept clean, safe and up to all “A” level health code standards.
- Be able to Lead our kitchen team and maintain excellence & hospitality throughout each day’s specific service periods,
- Will set an example of a positive, collaborative work environment for both the service and kitchen teams.
- English fluency and Spanish preferred, but not require
