Leo is a locally owned New American restaurant and bar in the vibrant Arts District of downtown Annapolis. It features local flavors from nearby farms and purveyors to create a modern, seasonal and sustainable menu. We are in search of an experienced line cook to join our team. The position requires strong cooking skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage time efficeintly, and pay close attention to detail. The ideal candidate has 3+ years of cooking experience in high volume scratch kitchens. A strong preference will be given to candidates with fine-dining experience.
Candidates must be available days, nights, weekends and some holidays. Leo is open seven days per week. We are closed on Thanksgiving and Christmas. Pay is commensurate with experience.
Responsibilities:
● Sets up and stocks food items and other necessary supplies.
● Prepares food items by cutting, chopping, mixing, and preparing sauces.
● Cooks food items by searing, frying, sautéing, and other cooking methods to specified recipes and standards.
● Maintain cleanliness and complies with food sanitation requirements by properly handling food and ensuring correct storage.
● Cleans and sanitizes cooking surfaces at the end of the shift.
● Performs inventory checks and completes food storage logs.
● Prepare and execute key components of dishes on designated stations in addition to supporting fellow cooks at all times.
