About the Role
We are seeking a knowledgeable and passionate Sommelier to elevate our wine program and enhance the guest experience. A strong understanding of wine regions, vintages, and food pairings is essential. This role requires team collaboration and a commitment to maintaining Cuerno’s standards of excellence.

Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert guidance and tailored recommendations on wine selection to elevate the dining experience.
- Guide staff on wine selection, pairings, and proper service techniques.
- Ensure proper wine service standards, including temperature, glassware, and decanting.
- Maintain knowledge of the food menu and collaborate with the Chef to craft wine and meal pairings.
- Oversee wine inventory, storage, and procurement to maintain quality and selection.
- Work closely with the Beverage Director to curate a diverse, high-quality wine list.
- Build loyalty and engagement by maintaining guest preference notes.
- Provide excellent hospitality and address guest inquiries related to wine.
- Stay up to date on wine industry trends and continually seek opportunities for enhancement.
- Maintain effective communication with all team members throughout service.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 2+ years previous Sommelier experience.
- Strong knowledge of Mexican wines and wine regions preferred.
- Prior Fine Dining and Mexican Restaurant experience a plus.
- Certified Sommelier or equivalent credential preferred.
- Proficiency in Toast POS system.
- Strong understanding of restaurant etiquette and sequence of service.
- Knowledge of health and safety regulations, including allergy protocols.
- Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility in work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to work standing and walking for extended periods of time.
- Ability to move and lift items up to 40 lbs as needed.

Compensation: Hourly ($16.50) plus tips
