Job Details
We are hiring an experienced Banquet Chef with strong knowledge of food preparation, kitchen safety and sanitation, effective time management and quality control.
This role is primarily stationed at 375 Park (The Grill/The Pool) but also includes offsite events as needed.
RESPONSILBILITES:
- Responsible for Menu development and receipe build out
- Executes all catering and banquet production for MFG
- Assist in the menu creation and makes recommendations as needed
- Supervises activities of assigned staff, communicate goals, and assign/schedule work to ensure proper coverage
- Responsible for coordinating menus, purchasing, scheduling, food preparation and plating for catering events
- Maintains complete knowledge of and comply with all departmental policies/service procedures/standards
- Responsible for delivering a consistent, high quality product for all events and functions
- Inspect the cleanliness of the line, floor, and all Kitchen stations
REQUIREMENTS:
• At least 4 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants.
• Experience in multi unit/catering and banquets preffered
• Previous experience in Michelin-starred (1, 2, or 3) and/or NY Times (2 or more stars) is preferred.
• This position requires a flexible schedule and weekends are necessary.
• There will be a variable working schedule but it will be a full time working schedule.
COMPENSATION: $110,000 - $120,000 salary

375 Park Food is a space composed of two restaurants, THE GRILL and THE POOL. These spaces occupy the historic rooms of the former restaurant The Four Seasons and are now operated by Major Food Group.
THE GRILL is a historically based American chophouse set in midcentury New York. It takes great inspiration from history; both the time the Seagram Building was built and the restaurants that existed at that time. It is the precursor to the NY Steakhouse, when things were still intricate and elegant. It celebrates all the animals of the land and some of our favorites from the sea. There is extensive table side preparation and service. There is also extensive use of THE GRILL.
