Proudly affiliated with STARR Restaurants and renowned James Beard Award-winning restaurateur Stephen Starr, The Occidental offers an unforgettable culinary journey that honors its storied past while embracing a vibrant, modern twist. 

If you are a lead-by-example Executive Chef with strong culinary skills and the desire to lead and mentor a large, diverse team providing exceptional dishes with care and consistency– we want to hear from you! 

This position offers a comprehensive package including: 

  • A base salary range of $120,000 - $135,000
  • Quarterly bonus program

Desired Qualifications: 

  • A minimum of 5 years of progressive culinary management experience in well-rated restaurants 
  • Prior experience opening a new restaurant is a plus! 
  • Prior experience and success in running expo in a busy kitchen. 
  • Experience hiring, training, and mentoring salaried managers and hourly BOH staff. 
  • Strong financial acumen with the proven ability to oversee cost control, labor management, and bottom-line profitability. 
  • Ability to mentor, motivate and drive performance and results of a diverse culinary workforce.

Compensation Details

Compensation: Salary ($120,000.00 - $135,000.00)
