A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A CAFÉ MANAGER
As a Café Manager at Fuelgood, you are responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our upscale corporate café and catering services. You will lead the front-of-house staff, ensuring excellent service and client satisfaction. Your duties include scheduling, staff training and development, and managing client communications. You will also oversee the ordering of supplies, manage the promotional calendar, and ensure all POS systems are running smoothly.
In addition, you will collaborate with our catering team to execute customized orders for corporate events, as well as manage pantry and kitchen supplies. You’ll maintain a clean and organized work environment while ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. Regularly engaging with clients, you will be a key point of contact for any inquiries or special requests.
Your role will also include coordinating with other managers to implement strategies to drive business growth, increase customer satisfaction, and maintain the overall quality of the café’s offerings. You’ll enjoy a dynamic work environment, balancing day-to-day operations with special projects, and leading a team to deliver exceptional service.
QUALIFICATIONS FOR A CAFÉ MANAGER
- 3+ years of experience in hospitality management or a related field
• Strong leadership, communication, and customer service skills
• Ability to stand for prolonged periods and lift a minimum of 40 pounds
• Proficient in Microsoft Suite, Toast POS, scheduling, and inventory management
• Management experience is preferred, but we’ll consider various factors, including your passion for the industry and your ability to lead and inspire teams.
• Must be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple tasks efficiently.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to develop positive relationships with both clients and staff.
• Ability to work under pressure and remain calm in fast-paced situations.
WORK SCHEDULE
This full-time Café Manager position typically works Monday through Friday with occasional evenings and weekends based on business needs.
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
This management position earns a competitive salary ranging from $60,000 to $65,000 per year. We provide our full-time employees with excellent benefits, including medical, dental, vision, the ability to accrue up to 10 days of paid time off (PTO) during the first year of employment, and paid federal holidays. Our team also receives 5 paid sick days per year, free parking at the office, a 401(k) plan after 1 year of employment, free shift meals, a 50% employee discount at our restaurant.
