Resident taps rising star chefs from the world’s best restaurants to host intimate, chef’s table style dinners in spectacular spaces. We take over townhouses, penthouses, and other luxury spaces to host ticketed dinners, personal celebrations, team-building and client entertaining events, and wholly-owned brand experiences. Each chef’s event is a reflection of the chef’s background, passions and memories. We offer guests the unique opportunity to connect with the faces behind their food.

We are looking for Event Leads to join our team who will be responsible for executing events from start to finish.

Our Event Lead's schedule is flexible and will vary, depending on the number of Events being hosted week to week.  The Event Lead will have the opportunity to apply for events via our scheduling platform and will have the ability to choose which events they work. The Event Lead will be executing events with a robust team of freelancers onsite. We are looking for an autonomous leader that thrives in an independent working environment.

Responsibilities:

An Event Lead with Resident is responsible for, but not limited to, the following tasks:

  • Event Execution. Responsible for ensuring a successful service from setup to breakdown of an event in a manner that reflects positively on our brand, our talent, our real estate partnerships, and our guests.
  • Resident Brand Ambassador + Point of Contact. Serve as the first team member onsite each day for each event, and will be the last team member onsite.
  • SOP Execution & Reporting. Complete all cloud-based opening and closing checklists to ensure that each responsibility associated with the event is reviewed and executed consistently by our hire or a team member (side work). The Event Lead will fulfill SOP closing administrative tasks for each event, including but not limited to end-of-night reports, post-event survey reports from team members, etc.
  • Time + Attendance. Ensure that hourly staff clocks in and out properly both for their shift and their break in our time + attendance platform.
  • Reporting. Fulfill closing administrative tasks for each event (end-of-night report, post-event survey reports from team members, approve staff timesheets at the end of each event, etc)
  • Communication. As the Resident Event Lead and brand ambassador, communication is a critical responsibility. We expect that you will:
    • Introduce Resident to our guests by following our established SOP (~2 minutes of public speaking).
    • Serve as the face of the brand while on the floor, interacting with all guests, talent, and real estate partner questions eloquently while overseeing service.
  • Develop relationships with our 3 stakeholders (real estate partners, guests, and talent). Write an end-of-night report to provide critical details to our operations team regarding key takeaways from the event using a furnished template.
  • Quality Control.
    • Ensure that each space is left clean and orderly, in accordance with pictures and descriptions provided in SOPs and training materials.
    • Ensure that the event experience falls in line with our brand strategy, including all details involving food, service, venues, music, decor, etc

Required Skills:

  • 3+ years of restaurant experience, preferably including time spent in a management role.
  • The candidate demonstrates Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills.
    • Maintain active email communication, by responding in a timely manner to all methods of communication employed by the Company.
    • Proactive communicator who looks to communicate in a positive, clear manner to build positive relationships with colleagues even in the absence of seeing them in person consistently.
  • Ability to stand, sit, bend, kneel, and reach with little to no accommodations needed for possible extended periods of time
  • Able to carry/hold more than 50 lbs.
  • Flexible schedule to include evenings, weekends, and holidays. On event days, the Company will expect the Event Lead to be on-site for event execution for ~10 hours, beginning in mid-afternoon and ending around midnight.
