Job Details
QED Hospitality is a restaurant operations management group, focused on running Food & Beverage operations in boutique hotels and exclusive sites nationally.

We bring our operational acumen to the table, developing and managing restaurants tailored to the hotel, the region and the demands of the market. These are not cookie cutter concepts, but true restaurants born of the region and based on our history.

Our bartenders provide friendly and exemplary service to each guest who comes up to the bar. Our bars also operate as a service bar for our restaurants, so keen time-management skills and focus are required to be able to fulfill orders from both the bar and the restaurant.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Quickly and accurately prepare drinks for restaurant and bar guests.
  • Possess knowledge of all food and drink served.
  • Keep the bar clean and stocked.
  • Maintain an accurate cash register and be able to account for all cash and charge receipts.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
Bonus: Our bartenders gain invaluable knowledge from the James B. Beam Distilling Co. team in the world of whiskeys and ryes. Get an up close experience working directly on the plant where Jim Beam products are made.

Qualifications:

Required: Must be 18 years of age or older. Must have (or be in the process of obtaining) a valid alcohol serving permit (specific permit will vary by state). Previous bartending experience and knowledge of bartending equipment and practices. Must be able to meet the physical demands of the position (lifting up to 50 lbs, standing for up to 8 hours, etc). Basic arithmetic skills and previous cash handling experience. Must be able to work as part of a team, and get along well with guests and coworkers. Must be able to uphold company standards relating to appearance and dress.

Preferred: High school diploma or GED.

PHYSICAL, MENTAL AND ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS:
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the restaurant. Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. Must have a manual dexterity and coordination to operate restaurant and office equipment and machines. Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations. Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
