PAPA SAN HOST
The hospitality group behind the acclaimed New York City restaurants, Llama Inn and Llama San has expanded its footprint with Papa San, a Peruvian Izakaya which opened February 2025 on 34th Street and 10Th Avenue (in The Spiral building). We are currently looking to hire a talented and experienced Host to start immediately.
We are seeking for a polished and personable High-Energy Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for our guests. This pivotal role is responsible for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere, managing reservations with precision, and ensuring an effortless flow of the guest experience from arrival to departure.
Responsibilities
Day to Day:
- Greet and welcome guests with a professional and engaging demeanor.
- Manage reservations efficiently using Resy.
- Maintain a detailed knowledge of the menu, specials, and daily operations to assist guests and answer inquiries.
- Coordinate seating arrangements to optimize the dining experience and venue capacity.
- Handle guest inquiries and special requests with a solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ensure the front-of-house area is impeccably always presented.
- Collaborate with the management and service teams to anticipate and exceed guest expectations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a host/hostess in a high-end or luxury establishment is preferred.
- Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills.
- A polished and professional appearance with a warm, approachable demeanor.
- Proficiency in reservation systems and general computer skills.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- A genuine passion for hospitality and creating memorable guest experiences.
Compensation Details
Compensation: Hourly ($22.00) plus tips

Coming in the Winter of 2025 will be Papa San- a Peruvian Izakaya. Nestled into the Spiral building in Hudson Yards, this expansive operation will be the biggest in the family. Taking inspiration from Peru and Japan, the food menus will be crafted by Erik Ramirez, the cocktail program led by Tres Monos from Argentina, and will have an exciting wine and sake list.
