Job Details

We are seeking experienced and enthusiastic Servers to join the Members Club at The Twenty Two for Lunch and Dinner. Servers are the primary point of interaction for guests and play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional dining experience. This position is responsible for taking orders, delivering beverages and dishes, collecting payment, and providing attentive service throughout the meal. Servers work closely with the kitchen and management teams to ensure a seamless and exceptional experience for every guest, reflecting the standards and culture of the restaurant.  

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience – preferably fine dining restaurant, a solid understanding of the basics of the wine, spirits and beverage world. Hiring for both Lunch and Dinner shifts.   

Duties and Responsibilities 

Service 

  • Collaborate with the management team and kitchen staff to ensure that service operations enhance the guest experience and meet high service standards.  
  • Assist in the opening and closing of the restaurant, ensuring all service stations are set up and broken down efficiently.  Complete opening and closing checklists. 
  • Warmly greet and engage with guests, making them feel welcome and valued throughout their dining experience.  
  • Answer questions about menu items, provide recommendations, and determine available options for guests with dining restrictions. 
  • Provide attentive and personalized service throughout the meal, including taking orders, delivering dishes, and ensuring guest satisfaction.  
  • Process guest payments via cash and credit card transactions, ensuring accuracy of checks. 
  • Maintain an organized and calm demeanor during peak service times, ensuring that all tables are served efficiently, and guest needs are met promptly.  
  • Communicate closely with the floor team to ensure that guest orders, special requests, and timing are handled smoothly.  
  • Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods, providing accurate wait times and ensuring that all guests receive timely service, meeting targets for table turn times based on reservations. 
  • Train, mentor, and support fellow servers and front-of-house staff to maintain a knowledgeable and motivated team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.  
  • Handle guest inquiries, special requests, and concerns with professionalism and poise, ensuring that all issues are resolved to the guest’s satisfaction and escalating to management when necessary. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge of Little Rest Hospitality's policies and procedures and ensure that all practices and policies are being upheld. 
  • Attend mandatory meetings, including staff meetings, leadership meetings, etc. 
  • Adhere to posted schedules. 
  • Complete other duties as assigned by management. 

Menu Knowledge 

  • Maintain a deep knowledge of food and beverage menu, ingredients, and preparation. 
  • Maintain a moderate knowledge of wine list and recommended pairings. 
  • Understand different types of allergy restrictions and help communicate potential issues to floor and kitchen staff. 

Sanitation, Hygiene, and Safety 

  • Maintain and strictly abide by state sanitation/health regulations and hotel requirements and procedures. 
  • Adheres to all Department of Health and Safety standards related to food handling, hygiene, and alcohol service, including reviewing identification of all guests to verify they are of legal drinking age. 
  • Maintain complete knowledge of correct maintenance and use of equipment; use equipment and tools only as intended, properly and safely. 
  • Inspect the cleanliness and organization workstations; rectify any deficiencies. 
  • Inspect the cleanliness and working condition of all tools, equipment and supplies, ensuring everything complies with standards. 
  • Inform supervisor on duty immediately of any DOH or OSHA/workplace safety violations. 
  • Maintain proper storage procedures as specified by Department of Health requirements.

  • Exert well-paced mobility for periods of up to 12 hours per day.
  • Lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
  • Frequently stand, walk, reach, bend, stoop, push, pull, and kneel.
  • Frequently utilize the stairs, often while lifting and carrying heavy items.
  • Occasionally crouch and climb.
  • Be exposed to hazards including, but not limited to, burns, cuts, scrapes, and frequent exposure of hands to water.
  • Withstand fluctuations in temperature within the work environment, from high heat to below freezing.
  • Be exposed to common allergens and unique ingredients.
  • Handle heavy equipment and machinery.
  • May be asked to travel to visit vendors or different company locations.
