Roister seeks an experienced host to greet our guests, set the tone for the memorable experience, and thank departing guests--all while organizing the dining room, maintaining a close eye on our reservation list and communicating effectively with our managers.

Communicate effectively to bartenders, chefs and managers
Job Overview: Position on the Front of House (FOH) team tasked to welcoming the guests and establishing a positive experience as the first point of contact. This position is also responsible for organizing seating sections, seating guests, checking coats and accessories, and maintaining a clear understanding of each table’s status during their experience. The host must organize the seating chart, and communicate successfully to FOH staff, follow the direction of management--all while maintaining genuine attention to the guests exiting and entering Roister
Providing exemplary guest care and hospitality.
Attention to menu maintenance.
Prioritizing tasks to optimize the guest experience.
Dealing successfully with a variety of individuals from various socioeconomic, ethnic and cultural backgrounds.
Pursuing goals set by management team.
Demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with public and staff.
Prior formalized guest relations training.
Ability to use restaurant seating application.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTIONS:
Maintains expert level knowledge of all reservations, People of Note (PON), dietary restrictions, and guest requests for each service.
Greets guests and maintains welcoming atmosphere with the goal establishing return guests.
Anticipates guest needs and respond promptly.
Accommodates all requests for information courteously.
Organizes and maintains secure storage of guest items.
Returns guest items according to established policies and procedures.
Communicates PON arrivals and special requests to management immediately.
Responds to guest complaints with the utmost professionalism and represents the brand at all times.
Performs other duties as assigned by management.
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
1+ years of host experience
