Brasero, an ambitious South-American inspired restaurant spearheaded by Chef John Manion, is looking for a motivated server to join the team! We specialize in seafood driven cuisine cooked over wood fire in an open, hearth style kitchen.
We pride ourselves on our positive, team-oriented culture. One year of experience is required, two years of experience is preferred but not a deal-breaker, a positive mental attitude will get you a long way.
Job Summary:
The Server cultivates an experience in line with the ethos and mission of Brasero, effectively coursing and collaborating the experience to suit every guest’s needs. The Server presents extensive knowledge of the menu, both food and beverage, to appropriately guide the guest. The server must be able to work in a fast paced environment while providing warm and attentive service.
Job Functions/Duties:
These select responsibilities are the most critical, yet additional responsibilities may be expected as needed.
- Server effectively communicates with CDC, Server Assistant, and MOD regarding all elements of the guest experience
- Server must complete all opening/closing duties, including, but not limited to: Procure lamps from charging station and place on tables in the front dining room, Place fork and knife on every place setting in the dining room
- Server effectively takes all food and beverage orders and courses the dishes accordingly
- Server must have strong working knowledge of food menu and dietary restrictions
- Server must have strong working knowledge of cocktails and NA drinks
- Server must have strong working knowledge of BTG wines and the wine list
- Server should be familiar with TOAST POS system to quickly and effectively ring in orders and print/pay outstanding checks
- Server must be able to handle and correctly fill out a cash out report to be given to the MOD at the end of every shift
Job Specifications:
- Experience - At least 1 year of full-service restaurant experience in a related position is preferred.
- Professionalism - Servers should work collaboratively with the FOH and BOH in an environment focused on respect and teamwork.
- Interpersonal Skills - Servers should communicate with guests in a warm hospitality driven manner that cultivates the experience of Brasero.
Physical - A server must be physically capable of stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, lift and transport up to 25lbs. Must be able to stand for at least 8 hours.
