RH is seeking a Food Runner / Server Assistant with a demonstrated ability to support company leadership in the execution of new and existing business strategies. This includes: providing world class customer service to internal and external guests while taking great care of the equipment and facilities. The responsibilities listed below are indicative of the nature of the position and can be modified due to organizational changes, new business developments, or expansion of the position.

• Deliver first-class service to internal and external guests
• Assist in the daily setup and breakdown of the dining area
• When assigned, take accountability for a dedicated set of tables each shift.  Ensure the customers are offered water, and clear and clean all tables in a timely and unobtrusive manner.
• As expertise is developed, take accountability for running food and drinks to all tables.  This requires additional customer interaction in English, including understanding and taking appropriate action to ensure food allergy safety, as well as knowledge of all table and seat numbers, and ability to interact at a high level with all front and back house Food & Beverage staff
• Anticipate guest’s needs, both internal & external
• Engage guests when appropriate to make them feel welcomed and “at home”
• Ensure the pantry, common areas, dining area and overall gallery environment is presentable throughout the course of the day
• Assist management to ensure the consistent integrity of the physical facility where food & beverages are served and stored
• Monitor hospitality areas to ensure they are kept clean, safe and code compliant
• Assist with onsite and offsite events
• Develop and maintain a working knowledge/interest in RH core furnishings business as well as food and beverage offerings
• Complete any additional tasks as assigned by Food & Beverage Management or Gallery Leaders
• Attend and participate at all scheduled meetings and trainings
• Participate in teamwork and foster harmonious working climate

REQUIREMENTS

• At least one year previous experience as a Porter or Busboy
• Willing to learn new and exciting things
• Basset Certified
• ServSafe Food Handler Certified
• 21 years or older
• Energetic, accountable and team oriented
• Reliable, dependable and responsible
• Ability to proactively find ways to maintain gallery cleanliness and efficiency
• Ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment with a positive attitude
• Basic computer skills is a plus

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work standing and walking for extended periods of time
